EU: Organisation to represent Open Source SMEs

The IDABC reports on Open Source News - 24 January 2008 - EU and Europe-wide - General: "A non-profit organisation founded by a group of Open Source enthusiasts is to "create a voice for the thousands of small and medium enterprises which are currently an under-represented industry and a vital part of the European economy". The Open Business Organisations of Europe (OBOE) held its first meeting on January 13 in Berlin. The meeting was initiated by Linux Verband, a German Open Source business association. Some twenty Open Source companies signed up for membership, reported the Germann IT news website Heise.de.
